Sunset West

A development that breaks the conventions of its adjacent apartment developments best defines the project brief. An “iconic” building was required to provide 64 apartments approximately 45m2 in size, each with a balcony together with high-end kitchens and bathrooms.

Bulk, form, and siting has been carefully considered. Building height relates to the scale of adjoining buildings. Bulk is minimised where possible by setting the building back from site boundaries on all edges to accommodate landscaping, with a faceted façade activated by balconies and cradled by white monolithic concrete bookends, an arresting play of light and form.

The design achieves seamless integration of bedroom and living spaces, extending outwards onto private balconies. Apartments are configured for comfort and livability with open-plan layouts and lots of storage space. Private sun-drenched balconies, generous stud height and floor-to-ceiling glazing together with breathtaking panoramic views contribute to a sense of understated quality.
