DGSE completed a Campus Development Plan for St Pat’s College in Wellington incorporating extensive new builds and alterations to existing campus buildings. The College was relocated from its original site flanking the Basin Reserve to Kilbirnie in the late 1970s. Fifty years on, the College is now future-proofing to provide quality, adaptable and flexible educational facilities which support the needs of current and future secondary school students.
Following approval of a 10-stage redevelopment programme, design and construction has commenced. Work includes transformation of the original Assembly Hall into a Performing Arts Centre, construction of a new Learning Hub, and the refurbishment of the Chapel, together with progressive internal alterations to both teaching and administration spaces.
Associated structural upgrading and site-wide landscaping improvements will conclude a significant investment to secure the long-term future and success of St Pat’s College.
