Olive Grove House

A residence designed to embrace tranquillity, place and connection. From the outset we sought to craft spaces that feel both sheltered and open protected courtyards that open onto the surrounding grounds, a seamless indoor-outdoor flow that invites the landscape inside, and a deliberate link to the existing olive grove that anchors the house in its setting.

Set within an existing olive grove the architecture arranges its volumes around intimate outdoor rooms. These courtyards provide refuge, bring daylight deep into the plan and allow living, dining and relaxation zones to spill effortlessly into the garden. Large glazing frames the olive grove beyond, making the trees an integral part of daily life.

Material and detailing choices reinforce a relaxed environment warm, tactile surfaces; generous proportions; and subtle transitions between inside and out. In this way the design supports everyday living, outdoor entertaining, quiet reflection and connection with the landscape. The outcome is a home that is thoughtful, rooted in place and calm in its presence.
