Workplace + Interiors
Mana Mokopuna’s new workplace in central Wellington places mokopuna at the heart of its design. Developed through a collaborative process with kaimahi and mokopuna, the 800m² fitout moves beyond the conventions of a typical office to create an environment shaped by safety, comfort and belonging.
Flexible planning supports the organisation’s diverse ways of working, creating spaces for connection and collaboration alongside settings for focused work and engagement with mokopuna, whānau and manuhiri. The workplace is designed to adapt easily between everyday use and gatherings of different scales, reflecting Mana Mokopuna’s strong connection with communities across Aotearoa.
A rich palette of natural cork, moss, colourful wool carpets, soft furnishings and layered textures brings warmth, tactility and playfulness to the interior. Together, these elements create a welcoming and sensory environment that encourages curiosity and joy — a workplace that supports kaimahi while ensuring mokopuna, whānau and manuhiri feel valued and at home.
